Before the conversation
Conversations help the parties understand expectations and decide whether to work together. We coordinate introductions and discussions and record questions needing professional explanation, not choose for either party.
Prepare key questions about updates, appointments, privacy, and contact after birth. Professional evaluations and agreements are handled separately; one conversation need not settle everything.
Day-to-day communication
Discuss channels, availability, translation needs, and which updates a project contact will summarize. Frequency should fit both lives and time zones rather than imply constant availability.
Ask who is notified first after appointment changes, whether a short update is welcome without new results, and how missed calls are rescheduled. Routine messages use agreed channels; clinicians explain medical results. Use local medical and emergency services for urgent matters.
Participation in appointments and birth
Explain how you hope to follow the pregnancy, participate where possible, and attend birth. The candidate can express feelings and boundaries.
Video calls, accompaniment, delivery-room participation, and rooms depend on consent, medical advice, and hospital rules. We help establish feasibility; a wish expressed during matching is not hospital approval. Discuss alternatives in advance if parents may not arrive on time.
Medical questions and differing values
Discuss important situations with professional guidance. Doctors explain medical choices; each party’s attorney explains rights, agreements, and applicable limits.
We arrange discussion and questions, not medical or legal conclusions. First check mutual understanding, then decide whether cooperation is appropriate. Chat agreement does not replace informed consent or legal procedure or grant control over all future medical decisions.
Photos, messages, and contact after birth
Discuss what can be shared, with whom, and publicly or privately. Receiving a photo privately does not authorize social media, marketing, or public case use.
- May medical updates and photos be forwarded to family?
- Which personal information should remain private?
- How will separate consent for a story or photo be obtained?
- Is contact after birth wanted, and in what form?
Use agreed channels if expectations change. Medical information still follows authorization and applicable rules.
Accepting, learning more, or declining
After a first discussion, summarize what is clear and what needs more information. We follow up within the agreement without requiring immediate acceptance.
If both wish to proceed, check remaining evaluations, agreements, insurance, and medical requirements. If either declines, explain further introductions and costs according to the stage and terms. A match is not transfer approval: HRC handles medical arrangements and attorneys handle legal work.
