Medical consultation and appointment preparation

Prepare records, consultation questions, appointment details, and financial discussions using HRC’s new-patient information.

Records for your first visit

Gather relevant medical history, tests, and treatment records. Ask how to send them in advance so the doctor has time to review them. If requesting records from another clinic, ask HRC about the request form and authorization.

Complete questionnaires in the welcome packet and prepare questions. Follow appointment instructions for documents to upload or bring for remote or in-person consultation.

  1. Organize records

Previous tests, treatment, and embryo records.

  2. Confirm the appointment

Location, consultation format, and record channels.

  3. Bring your questions

    Discuss assessment, options, and fees.

The purpose of the first discussion

The initial consultation reviews history, individual circumstances, and possible treatment options. List questions about embryos, previous treatment, or gamete sources and ask what else must be evaluated.

Confirm video, phone, or in-person format, participants, and whether examination or nurse discussion is included. Different purposes can mean different arrangements; do not book a day’s itinerary from a general first-visit description alone.

If you already have embryos

Explain the clinic, formation and storage circumstances, and laboratory records. Ask how to submit testing or treatment reports.

Records review, storage acceptance, and suitability for a particular treatment may be different steps. Coordinate release, laboratories, and specialist transport after receiving conditions are clear.

If you do not have embryos

Summarize previous tests, treatment, and current questions. The treating team confirms tests, validity, and acceptance of local results to avoid unnecessary repeat testing.

  • Which earlier reports can be used?
  • Are additional tests needed, and why?
  • Which discussions or tasks can take place remotely or locally?
  • Which treatments or procedures require attendance?

Medical and service contacts

HRC explains results, options, medications, and medical risks. Our team coordinates appointments, records, and surrogacy arrangements.

Ask attorneys about agreements and parentage, and insurance professionals about coverage and claims.

Appointment and financial questions

HRC’s new-patient information calls for financial consultation before treatment. If you have insurance, provide verification information to the financial team and confirm applicability, authorization, and your share; the insurer’s name alone does not establish coverage.

  • What does this consultation include and how are later evaluations charged?
  • Are drugs, tests, laboratory work, and storage separate?
  • Which costs belong to HRC, surrogacy services, or other providers?
  • How is an estimate updated after more tests or a changed plan?
  • Which tests, consents, and payment matters remain before treatment?

HRC determines testing and treatment readiness; its responsible staff explain finances. We coordinate records and appointments.

Secure records and appointment checks

Submit clinical, identity, and consent records through approved secure channels. Verify recipient and purpose; do not upload them to public groups or unknown links.

Before booking travel, confirm the appointment, attendance requirements, and cancellation terms. Medical plans can change; check that official information and appointment notices are current.
