Legal preparation for international clients

Check US arrangements and residence-country procedures separately.

Confirm the cross-border route early

Before starting, consult attorneys in the relevant US state and professionals where you live. Explain family circumstances, gamete sources, birth location, and intended future residence.

Nationality and travel documents

Nationality, passports, and other travel documents follow the laws and administrative requirements effective when applying. Birth location or website information cannot guarantee a nationality or document.

Confirm documents with authorities

Check identification, birth registration, parentage documents, translation, authentication, and any interview. The competent authority determines the application channel and timing.

Allow for changes

Consider additional documents, review, and the baby’s medical needs in travel plans. Do not rely on guaranteed return dates or a fixed number of days.
